New Delhi: Sources close to the central investigating agency Enforcement Directorate (ED) have given very important information about the National Herald case. He has said that none of the Congress leaders (others including Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi) who were called for questioning gave any document to prove that all the financial transactions related to Associated Journal Limited (AJL) and Young Indian Private Limited (YIL) were carried out by late Motilal Vora.

Let me tell you that, Motilal Vora held the post of treasurer of the Congress party for the longest time. He died in 2020. In fact, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, during their interrogation of the ED in the money laundering case related to the National Herald case, had said that all financial transaction decisions related to AJL and Young India Limited were taken by Motilal Vora.

ED sources said that when Rahul Gandhi was questioned about the economic aspects, he told officials that all economic transactions are done by Vora. Apart from Rahul and Sonia, Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Pawan Kumar Bansal had also named Motilal Vora before the ED, but all these leaders failed to produce documents related to Motilal Vora. Sources also said that the ED had no choice but to call Kharge, as he is the only employee of Young Indian.
