NIA arrests 16 in Tamil Nadu for plotting terror strikes

Chennai: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has once again arrested 16 peoples for plotting a nefarious conspirator against India. The NIA raided the residence and office of Syed Mohammad Bukhari in Ansarullah case on Saturday. The NIA also raided the house of Hasan Ali Yunusmiker and Harish Mohammad at Nagapattinam in Tamil Nadu.

All of them were inclined towards the banned organization SIMI. On Saturday morning, the NIA team conducted raids in several areas including Madurai, Theni, Nelai in Tamil Nadu and arrested 16 persons. The NIA has registered a case against them for conspiring to wage a war against the Indian government by creating a terrorist organization called Ansarullah.

An official statement from the NIA after the arrest of 16 people said that all of them were conspiring to carry out terror attacks in India. The NIA team claimed that it was in fright to link some more people with them to all the terrorist attacks. He was also training people with explosives, poisons, knives, and vehicles to carry out the attack," he said.
