Jammu and Kashmir: NIA raids militant's house, confiscates many important documents

Srinagar: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has carried out raids at several places in Pulwama district of South Kashmir on Wednesday. The agency got a secret idea of hiding the terrorists in the valley. To find those, houses were being searched in the valley since Wednesday morning. The agency has arrested some people during the raid.

According to information provided by the sources, the NIA raided several houses covering the terrorists' residential locations. It also includes the home of Zahid Ahmed Wani, the commander of the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Muhammad in Karimabad Pulwama. The raids were conducted by the NIA after an encounter in Banatol Nagrota, Jammu. Confirming the NIA raids at different places in Pulwama, a police officer has said that many important documents have been seized, but no arrests have been confirmed yet.

Even before this, the NIA had raided the house of Sameer Ahmed Dar of Gundibagh Kakapora, who was a driver by profession and was arrested during the Nagrota encounter. The accused arrested was Sameer Pulwama, a cousin of terrorist Adil Ahmed, involved in the attack.
