In October, the complete information of all the citizens included in the register and out of the register was uploaded on nrcassam.nic.in. The process of NRC started after the Supreme Court's order in Assam. Nearly 19 lakh people were left out of the final list of NRC published in August 2019. In the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai had informed that if Assam is the name of the parents in the NRC, then the missing children will not be sent to the Detention Center. He said that the Attorney General had stated before the apex court on 6 January 2020 that such children would not be separated from their parents and also would not be sent to the detention center.
