New Delhi: Star runner Duti Chand of India has once again registered a gold medal in the 59th National Open Athletics Championship by performing brilliantly. Duti has achieved this feat in the women's 100m event by breaking her own national record. He broke the record of 11.26 seconds at the Asian Championship in April this year with a time of 11.22 seconds in the semi-finals of the tournament. She was on a par with Rachita Mistry in previous records. Two weeks ago, she failed to reach the 100m semi-final of the World Championship in Doha.

She finished seventh in her heat with a disappointing time of 11.48 seconds. He took the gold medal in his final with 11.25 seconds in the final on Friday and left behind Archana Susindran and Himashree Rai. Amia Kumar Malik of Odisha finished first in the men's 100-meter event with a time of 10.46 seconds. Jonathan Anakaneypa of Malaysia won silver and Gurindervir Singh of Punjab won bronze. MP Jabir won the gold medal by setting a record in the men's 400m hurdles.
