Soumyajit Ghosh and Ankita Das won the quarter-finals of the 81st National Table Tennis Championships in the men's and women's singles finals, respectively. Soumyajit upset the second-seeded Achant Sharat Kamal 4-2.

According to the reports, Soumyajit, who played in the London Olympics (2012), will have to overcome the challenge of Harmeet Desai to reach the final. Harmeet defeated Sanil Shetty 4–0 in other quarter-finals. Where top seed G Sathiyan and Manav Thakkar defeated Rohit and Sarthak Gandhi respectively and secured a place in the semi-finals.

Let us tell you that in women Ankita defeated Anusha Kutumbale 4-3 in a ups and downs match. At the same time, Sutirtha Mukheri, Ayhika Mukherjee and Kritvika Sinha Rai were also successful in securing a place in the last four.
