New Delhi: According to the information, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday expressed the forecast that the weather will be relatively warm in winter this year from December to February, amid rising temperatures globally. In its winter forecast released on Friday, the department said, "The average minimum temperature of the weather in December, January, February is likely to be warmer than the average minimum temperature in most parts of the country except the northern end of India. '

According to the sources, the department has been issuing winter forecasts every year since 2016 and has predicted the weather to be relatively warm every time. 2018 was the hottest season globally. Meteorologists also said that from December 2019 to February 2020, the minimum temperature in core cold wave areas is 'more likely to remain' than normal.

According to information, in the core cold wave areas,includes Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Bengal, Odisha and Telangana along with Jammu- Kashmir and Ladakh, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Saurashtra, and Madhya Maharashtra.
