Today, on Thursday, from 7 am, votes are being cast in 15 assembly seats in Karnataka. Voting will run till 6 pm. According to the news, only 6.06 percent of the voting took place in the first two hours. Polling was reported to be 33 per cent till 1.30 pm. Officials said that the highest turnout was 41.72 per cent in Yellapur while the lowest polling was recorded in Shivajinagar at 22.12 per cent.

According to media reports, in this by-election, a total of 37.78 lakh voters of the state will use their franchise at a total of 4,185 polling stations. There are 19,25,529 males, 18,52,027 females and 414 others in the electorate. These include 79,714 young voters.
