Amritsar: Former Punjab Congress unit president Navjot Singh Sidhu is currently lodged in Patiala jail. He is serving a sentence awarded by the Supreme Court in the 33-year-old road rage case. Sidhu has refused to eat normal food in jail. This is also affecting his health. On Monday, he was taken to Rajindra Hospital in Patiala. where his medical checkup was done. 

 

Separate medical check-ups of Sidhu were conducted for about four-and-a-half hours, after which he was then taken back to Patiala's central jail. The medical board has been constituted by the jail administration. It will create a diet plan for Sidhu. Sidhu has claimed that he is allergic to wheat, in such a situation, he has refused to eat jail food. They are not eating the food of the jail. They are only living by eating salads.  

 

Sidhu's lawyer has said that he is allergic to wheat. They have liver problems. Sidhu has demanded a special diet from the jail administration. Sidhu's media advisor Surinder Dalla said Sidhu is allergic to wheat. He can't eat wheat bread. He has not been eating bread for a long time, so he has asked for a special diet. He also gave information about this during the medical test. The court conducted a medical check-up of him and sought a report by 4:00 pm.
