Navneet Rana receives death threat, panicked MP reaches police station

Mumbai: The loudspeaker and Hanuman Chalisa controversy in Maharashtra had not stopped yet, with Amravati MP Navneet Rana receiving death threats. Navneet Rana has lodged a complaint with the Delhi Police regarding the incident. Navneet Rana said that she has been threatened with death over the phone.  

Navneet Rana said in her complaint that she received a call on Tuesday evening. On the call, she was told, "You will not be allowed to come to Maharashtra. If you recite Hanuman Chalisa, you will be killed. Rana said that she received 11 calls from a number. Because of this, it was said that you should come to Maharashtra, you will not be allowed to enter. Will kill you. In the complaint, Navneet Rana said, "She is very scared because of these threats. She are also mentally hurt and scared.  

Navneet Rana lodged a complaint with The North Avenue police station in Delhi. Subsequently, the police have registered a case and started an investigation. Navneet Rana has demanded strict action against the threateners. Independent MP Navneet Rana and Shiv Sena have been at loggerheads for some time now. Navneet Rana and her MLA husband Ravi Rana had recently announced to recite Hanuman Chalisa outside Matoshree of Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray's house. Subsequently, Shiv Sena workers protested outside the Rana couple's house. On the other hand, the Maharashtra Police had arrested the Rana couple and sent them to jail.
