Mumbai: There has been a dangerous political uproar in Maharashtra after the arrest of MP Navneet Rana and her MLA husband Ravi Rana. Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police Commissioner has now retaliated against the serious allegations that Navneet Rana had made against the Maharashtra Police. Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Pandey has shared a CCTV footage, which is being told of Khar police station. In this, independent MP Navneet Rana, husband and MLA Ravi Rana are seen drinking tea/coffee sitting in the police station.

Let us tell you that earlier Navneet Rana had written a letter to the Lok Sabha Speaker, in which he had made serious allegations against the Mumbai Police. It was told that the police made casteist remarks on him. Not only this, Navneet had said that the police had not given him drinking water and did not even allow him to use the bathroom.

On Monday, Navneet Rana wrote a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Navneet Rana wrote in the letter that I was taken to the police station on 23rd. On 23rd April, I had to spend the whole night in the police station. I asked for water several times during the night, but I was not given water throughout the night. Navneet further alleged that the police staff present on the spot said that I belong to a scheduled caste, so they cannot give me water in the same glass in which they drink. That is, I was not even given water to drink because of my caste. I want to emphasize that I have been denied basic human rights because of my caste. Navneet further says that I had to go to the bathroom at night, but the police staff did not pay any attention to my demand. Then I was abused. It was said that they (police staff) do not allow the lower caste people to use their bathroom.
