New Delhi: The Sharadiya Navratri has started today and nine forms of Maa Durga are worshipped in it. Mother's Shailputri form is worshipped on the first day of Sharadiya Navratri. Goddess got the name 'Shailputri' because of the birth of Himalayas in the mountain. Her vehicle is Taurus, hence it is also known as Goddess Vrisharuda. This goddess has trident in right hand and lotus in left hand. Well, all the devotees who keep fasting and worship in nine days show the grace of the mother, but every day has a different way of worship.

You can get the blessings of unbroken good fortune by pleasing mother Shailputri on the first day. Worshipping Shailputri removes the lack of stability and strength in our life. Worship of Goddess Shailputri is considered very auspicious for women. Before the aarti of Shailputri, clean the place of worship thoroughly. For the Kalash installation, put a red cloth on a wooden floor and take rice in a fist and meditate on mother Adi Shakti and put it on the floor.

Now fill pure water in the urn which has to be installed, apply mango leaves and coconut be put on that urn. Make a swastika symbol with a roll on the urn. Tie the Kalawa on its edge, then install it. Mount the pick on the urn. Put soil in an earthen bowl, wet it with water and sow barley. Put Kumkum on the picture of mother Shailputri and offer them chunri. After this, take the resolution of the fast and read the story of mother Shailputri.
