Story: Once upon a time there was a country named Kaushal where lived a poor man named Sushil. He used to feed his family with daily begging. He had many children. In the morning he used to go out of the home to get money and return in the evening. After worshipping the deities, fathers and guests, he used to take food himself after feeding the dependent. In this way, he used to accept begging as a Prasad of God. He was always ready to help others. Disorders such as anger, ego and jealousy were never produced in his heart.
If you see these things during Navratri then Goddess Durga's blessing is with you
One day near his house, a stunning sage named Satyavrat came. There was no other person around him who knew the mantras and teachings. Soon many people started coming to see him. Sushil's heart also aroused a desire to meet him and he was present at his service." Your intelligence is very unique. You are the master of many scriptures, teachings and mantras. I am a poor and helpless Brahmin. Please tell me how my poverty can be ended? ' It is only my intention to ask you that I have to feed my family".
Keep these things in mind while reciting Durga Saptashati in Navratri
Due to lack of money, I am not able to give them proper facilities and other comforts. I will do anything for their happiness. I will do, charity, fast, mantra or chanting - you should bother to give any such remedy so that I can maintain my family properly. I only desire money so that my family becomes happy. Then Satyavrat Rishi advised Sushil to keep the Navratri fast, describing the glory of Goddess Durga. Sushil made Satyavrat his mentor and took the initiation of a Bhuvaneshwari Mantra called Mayabija. After that, keeping the Navratri fast, he started chanting regularly. He worshipped Goddess Durga with devotion.
He continued to chant the Mayabija mantra of Goddess Durga for nine years every Navratri. Pleased with Sushil's devotion, in the ninth year of Navratri, Goddess Bhagwati appeared in the midnight of Ashtami and provided him with all the things which he desired. In this way, Bhagwati Durga was happy and took away all the sufferings of her devotee Sushil and gave him immense wealth, honour, and prosperity.
