The Supreme Court in the Panamagate verdict disqualified Nawaz Sharif from the Prime Minister's office after which he resigned yesterday.
After which Nawaz Sharif's younger brother Shehbaz Sharif is chosen as the next Prime Minister of Pakistan which is announced by the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N).The top court five-judge larger bench headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa unanimously announced the verdict.
The apex court ordered the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to file a reference against the accused in an accountability court in six weeks, directing for the trial to be concluded within six months.
