Palamu: 'There is a lot of power in love' and this appeared to be true in Jharkhand. In fact, on Thursday, Naxal area commander Abhayji alias Savinder Yadav surrendered in Palamu, Jharkhand when his wife spoke. Not only that, he also vowed to return to the mainstream and follow the Constitution for the rest of his life. Abhay got married six months ago. There was a change in that when the police and his wife explained.

Abhay, a resident of Ramgarh in Palamu, surrendered before Palamu Deputy Commissioner Shashi Ranjan and Superintendent of Police Chandan Kumar Sinha with 3.15 bolts of action rifle and 14 bullets. The Deputy Commissioner and SP welcomed the Naxal Area Commander with a garland and appreciated his decision to return to the mainstream.

According to Deputy Commissioner Shashi Ranjan, the Jharkhand government's rehabilitation package is much better than in other states. After interrogating the surrendered Naxalite, he will be provided facilities as per the package. Land, accommodation facilities in an open jail, employment etc. will be decided. The SP said the TPC area commander is currently being sent to judicial custody. His cases will be reviewed through the Rehabilitation Committee.
