The Golden State Warriors' Twitter account posted a photo of star player Stephen Curry taking a selfie with BTS member SUGA and captioned it, "Selfie of the year." The singer-rapper will be a special guest at the basketball team's game on Friday at Saitama Super Arena in Tokyo while the squad is in Japan for preseason games.

Being a huge basketball lover, the BTS member really got his stage moniker from the position of "shooting guard" as a reference to his passion for the sport. He was now given a Warriors jersey with his name on the back and welcomed to the Dub Nation as he visited the squad. Stephen Curry, the team's point guard, soon thanked him for the present and extended an invitation to a meeting in a tweet.

Now, as the two international icons met, it was nothing short of a touching moment for fans on both sides as they gratefully acknowledged each other's presence. Stephen Curry gave SUGA a warm welcome and noted how his entire family is a fan of BTS.“I’m a big fan, all of my kids and everybody in the family. It’s great to meet you,” speaking to a member of BTS, the point guard can be heard saying.

The two then proceeded to autograph gifts for one other, the Warriors champion giving a BTS member a "Proof" album and the BTS member signing a Curry jersey. The rumours that SUGA would not only be attending the game but also get involved as a fan have been sparked by this meeting. It would be wonderful to watch him compete with some of the greatest in the field!
