Mumbai: NCP President Sharad Pawar has put an end to discussions about becoming a presidential candidate recently. In a recent statement, Sharad Pawar said, "It is absolutely baseless that I am going to be the presidential candidate. I know what will be the outcome of the party which has more than 300 MPs. I will not be a candidate for the presidential election.'' At the same time, he further said, "Prashant Kishore has met me twice, but we have talked about one of his companies both times, there was no political discussion with Prashant Kishore. We have not discussed any discussion on the 2024 Lok Sabha elections or the Presidential elections. Prashant Kishore told me that he had left the job of an election strategist.''

He also said, "Nothing has been decided so far, whether it is the 2024 general elections or the state elections. The election is far away, the political situation keeps changing. I will not play any leadership role in the 2024 elections.'' In fact, for the past few days, it was believed that Prashant Kishore was trying to unite the entire opposition.

There was also talk that NCP President Sharad Pawar may be declared the presidential candidate by the opposition, but now Sharad Pawar himself has put an end to the reports. Let me tell you that President Ram Nath Kovind's term ends in 2022. In such a situation, there will be another election for the new President of the country.
