Sajjan Singh Verma said in a statement this morning, "When doctors say that girls are fit to give birth at the age of 15 years, what is the need to make the marriage age at 21 years?" He becomes part of controversy over his statement. However, Sajjan Singh, in his statement, also targeted Shivraj Singh Chouhan. This morning, he said, "Shivraj has become a big doctor". It was said that earlier, the state Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had talked about increasing the age of marriage of daughters in the country from 18 to 21 years.
Commenting on Shivraj Singh Chouhan's statement, Sajjan Singh Verma said, "Doctors say that after 15 years of age, the girl is able for reproduction. What is the need for girls to marry at the age of 21 years? Instead of making statements on the age of marriage, he should focus on the safety of the girls.
