After the passage of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in India, the protest of Jamia Millia Islamia University students and local people is going on for the fifth day on Tuesday, but the demonstrations have not started yet. At the same time, the Delhi Police have received information that violent demonstrations may take place in different areas on Tuesday. In such a situation, the Delhi Police has increased the security of many VVIP areas as well as crowded areas.

According to information received from the Delhi Police in this case, 10 people have been arrested in connection with the protest outside Jamia on Sunday, which has a connection with criminal activities. The police have also informed that no student has been arrested in this case.

In view of the security, the Delhi Police has deployed the soldiers for 24 hours at the places of possible protest. At the same time, the intensive investigation is being done around Jamia by putting barricading. According to intelligence, security has been beefed up on Tuesday at Delhi's Jantar Mantar, India Gate, Parliament House, Rajpath as well as at the residence of Union Minister Amit Shah. Meanwhile, the Delhi Police has made tight security arrangements on Tuesday.  At the same time, local people and students demonstrated on Monday for the fourth consecutive day. The protesters shouted slogans against the Bharatiya Janata Party, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and the Delhi Police. The protesters also targeted the media persons who came for coverage. Two media persons received serious injuries in the attack. A female reporter was mistreated and an attempt was made to rob her camera and mobile phone.
