Delhi: Court says on petition related to minority of Hindus

A response was sought from the Center on a petition filed in the Delhi High Court on Friday. This petition has stated that Hindus are minorities in various states and union territories but the rights being enjoyed by other minorities have been denied. The case will be heard on May 4.

On this matter, Chief Justice DN Patel and Justice C Hari Shankar issued notice to the Ministry of Home Affairs, Law and Justice and Minority Affairs and demanded their response on the petition. In this petition, the Center demanded to define the term 'minority'. Apart from this, guidelines were asked to issue guidelines for their identification at the state level.
