On Saturday, due to the ongoing protest in Shaheen Bagh, the Supreme Court appointed negotiators will also reach the protest venue to open the closed way. The deadline for talks on Sunday is ending. Earlier, the interlocutors also arrived on Friday for the third consecutive day to open closed roads in Shaheen Bagh. During this period, some women protesters gave the indication of opening one way to their safety. Demonstrations have been going on in protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NRC) here for about two months.

For your information, let us tell you that Supreme Court-appointed negotiator Advocate Sanjay Hegde and Sadhana Ramachandran reached the picket at around 6:30 pm on Friday evening and said that they only want to talk to women. He asked all the men to withdraw from the picket. After this, Sadhna Ramachandran asked the women, do they want to disturb people and picket them? The women answered no. Then asked, if you are sitting on only one road, then the road on the other side should be started. The women said, will the administration give them security. The interlocutors called the police officers present on the spot and promised them, but the other faction did not agree.

To end the strike, the negotiators have to talk to several groups of protesters. If one group agrees to start the traffic except the strike site, then the other faction is not ready for this. Let us say that there is a continuous protest in South Delhi's Shaheen Bagh from December 15 in protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act and the National Citizenship Register. The Supreme Court has appointed three interlocutors Sanjay Hegde, Sadhana Ramachandran and Wajahat Habibullah, who have been holding regular daily talks since Wednesday, to open a closed path due to the protests.
