Patna: Who will be the next CM of Bihar is going to be decided today. Counting has begun for 243 assembly constituencies. The BJP has seen a ragged lead in the trends so far. In the present trends, NDA is leading in 119 seats, while the Grand Alliance has taken the lead in 116 seats.
RJD is ahead in 25 seats while BJP is ahead in 61 and JD (U) in 39 seats. The results of the by-election to 243 assembly constituencies in Bihar are due to be announced today. Counting of votes has already begun since 8 am. The results will determine whether Nitish Kumar's government will be re-formed in Bihar or a grand alliance government led by Tejashwi Yadav.
The results of the by-election to 7 assembly constituencies in Uttar Pradesh will also be announced today. Counting of votes started from 8 am. According to exit poll data, out of 7 UP assembly seats, the BJP can win 5-6 seats. On the other hand, Samajwadi Party can get 1-2 assembly seats.
