The goat's death prevented coal transport at the Jagannath sidings in the Talcher coalfields, causing disruption in dispatch work and causing losses.

MCL then issued a statement saying that the company suffered a loss of Rs 1.4 crore due to the work being stopped for more than 3.30 hours.
