In Assam, 5 more people have died in flood-related incidents. About 40 lakh people in 27 cities of the state are affected by the floods. According to the Assam flood management authority's daily flood report, 2 people died in Morigaon city. But one person each died in Lakhimpur, Barpeta and Golpara cities.

This year, the total number of people killed in flood-related incidents in the state has risen to 97. In these, 71 people died due to floods. While twenty-six people died in a landslide. Dhubri has the maximum flood affected by 8.72 lakh people. After which, more than 4.78 lakh people in Barpeta and about 4.28 lakh population in Goalpara are affected by the floods. The city administration and local people have saved 2,737 lives from 113 boats across the state in the last 24 hours. Which is a commendable job.

The number of patients infected with covid-19 in India has crossed 10 lakh. For the first time in India, more than 34 thousand cases have been reported in 1 day and 687 people have died at this time. This is the sixth consecutive day when more than 28 thousand new cases have been revealed. Along with this, the number of patients infected with covid-19 from the virus is also increasing rapidly.
