Television’s lovey-dovey couple Charu Asopa and Neeraj Malviya of Mere Angne Mein fame. Charu and Neeraj played the role of brother-sister on-screen and fell in love while working for the show. Neeraj proposed Charu on his birthday in June 2015 and they got engaged on February 17, 2016 in Bhopal. They were all set to tie the knot this year in 2017 but apparently, things didn’t work out between the two.

“Yes, it was a dress rehearsal of sorts, when I shot for my engagement sequence in Mere Angne Mein. And when I walked my way to getting engaged to Neeraj, it was my happiest moment", said Charu while claiming her real-life engagement to Neeraj as the happiest moment of her life

Neeraj talked about the separation with fiancee and said, “Yes, sometimes 2 people are meant to be not more than great friends. In my case, majority of problems have been created because of the rumours. There were no tiffs of sorts between us regarding money or anything. We are matured individuals and with the rate at which divorces are taking place, it is better to not have a relationship with a weak foundation.”

When contacted Charu, she said, “I would not like to comment on anything at this moment.”
