New Delhi: The Supreme Court has dismissed a petition seeking postponement of the NEET-PG 2022, which was to be held on May 21, saying that the postponement of the examination at this time will only create chaos and uncertainty. This will also affect the patient care and will be wrong for more than 2 lakh students preparing.

The court has said in its remarks that any delay in admission affects the care of patients and work in hospitals. The request for postponing the examination has been considered. After deliberation, it has been decided that we cannot allow the patient care to be affected by postponing the examination at this time. The court further said, 'The state is trying to strike a balance. There are a large number of doctors who have registered for the 2022 examination. More than 2 lakh 6000 doctors have registered, which is much more than the number of doctors who appeared in the examination in the last 2 years. Delay in examination will also affect other areas like super specialty admission.

The Supreme Court also said that this year we do not have the reason for the delay in the examination in the last two years, that is, we do not have to worry about the corona virus. Now the delay in the examination will have a huge impact. This will also affect the last date of internship for super specialty examination etc. So the exam will be conducted on the scheduled date only.
