She said, "Madhavan had suggested Kangana's name for the role in 'Tanu weds Manu '. Neetu worked in films like ' Traffic signal ' and ' Oye Lucky, Lucky Oye'. In a special interview to a website, Neetu said, "I signed Tanu weds Manu. I have been replaced from 6 films. No one for me would call anyone. I had to call for myself. That is the journey and that is what I have learnt from. '
When asked about the films ahead, she said, " How will you do it? It is not up to me. How I run the project, for whatever reason, if the director feels that the actor is making a recognition of someone else, I do not come from a background where I should be heard. '
