The controversy surrounding the NEET UG-2024 entrance exam results continues to escalate with shocking revelations emerging from Bihar. An engineer working at Danapur Nagar Parishad, Sikandar Prasad Yadavendu, has confessed in a note that recently surfaced, implicating himself in a paper leak scandal.

According to the confession letter, Yadavendu facilitated the stay of four NEET candidates and the guardian of one in Patna. Among them was his nephew, Anurag Yadav, who came with his mother, Reena Kumari, to appear for the NEET 2024 exam. Yadavendu alleged that Anurag demanded results as promised earlier.

The engineer further claimed that he made logistical arrangements for the other candidates: Ayush Raj, Shivanandan Kumar, and Abhishek Kumar, besides Anurag Yadav and his mother Reena.

Yadavendu's confession also implicated a racket involved in leaking question papers not only for NEET but also for exams conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) and the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

Additionally, the guest house where the candidates stayed, located near Patna Zoo and Patna Airport, had rough bills marked with Anurag's name. The bill books also mentioned 'Mantri Ji', who allegedly facilitated the stay of Yadav's accomplices.

The revelations have sparked outrage, with the youth wing of the AAP staging a protest outside Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's residence. AAP MLA Sanjeev Jha demanded the cancellation of the NEET exam due to alleged irregularities.

"Students have been severely affected due to the irregularities in the conduct of the exam. We demand a time-bound probe into the NEET exam matter under the supervision of a retired Supreme Court judge," Jha stated during the protest.
