Government Reassures Students Amid NEET-UG Exam Controversy- Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has assured that no student's career will be jeopardized amid calls for a CBI and Supreme Court-monitored investigation into the ongoing NEET-UG exam controversy.

On Thursday, the National Testing Agency (NTA) canceled grace marks given to 1,563 candidates after allegations of irregularities and inflated scores. A retest is scheduled for June 23, with results expected by June 30 for those affected.

Pradhan emphasized the government's commitment to safeguarding the interests of NEET examinees. "I assure students that all concerns will be addressed fairly. No student will be disadvantaged, and no child's career will be at risk," Pradhan stated on social media.

He also noted that the Supreme Court is aware of the facts surrounding the NEET examination. "The central government will take necessary actions for the students' well-being following the Supreme Court's directions," Pradhan added.

The minister highlighted the importance of proceeding with the NEET counseling process without confusion.

The Supreme Court, responding to a PIL filed by Hiten Singh Kashyap, has sought responses from the Centre and the NTA regarding a plea for a CBI investigation into exam irregularities. Justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta have requested responses from the CBI and the Bihar government within two weeks.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge criticized the central government, stating that the future of 24 lakh NEET students is at stake due to the Modi government's actions. Earlier, Maharashtra Congress president Nana Patole also demanded a central agency probe.
