Agartala (Tripura) [India], Mar. 10 (NT): For the first time in the Bharatiya Janata Party government, BJP President Biplab Kumar Deb took the oath as a Chief Minister of the state on March 10.

In his first statement as Chief Minister, Biplab Kumar said that "Now the people of the union will not be able to take any bribe."

He further said that "I am not here to break the union, but if there is a felony in the name of the union in the state and prevents any industry, I will not let it happen. Our government will not tolerate opposition to development. I believe the union is so important that there will be no injustice with any employee. But if the union raises the week or raises the fund for the party then I will not let it happen."

"I will implement the constitution in the state, which I say.", he added.

Tripura's CM Biplab Kumar Deb said on the question of corruption in the previous government's investigation that our government will not spare anyone who does any corruption. He said that I also told the Ministers of my Cabinet that my government's mantra is similar to that of Prime Minister Narendra Modi- "neither I will eat nor I will allow anyone to eat". We will run the same rule in the state as PM Modi wants.

Significantly, in the recent assembly elections in Tripura, the BJP won 35 of the 59 in the recently concluded polls, throw out the CPI (M) which won only in 17 assembly constituencies. (NT)
