Jesy Nelson, a singer, tested positive for COVID-19, forcing her to postpone a live performance this weekend. The 30-year-old former Little Mix singer has been "feeling sick" for a few days and is currently isolated herself.

Nelson, along with James Arthur, Anne-Marie, Mabel, and KSI, was set to perform at Free Radio Hits Live 2021 in Birmingham on Saturday. She wrote in an Instagram statement: "Hello my beauties, after feeling ill for a few days, I've unfortunately tested positive for Covid, which means I'm now self-isolating as per government regulations. As a result, I will be unable to play at Hits Live in Birmingham on Saturday. I apologize to any of my fans who purchased tickets, and I'm sorry I won't be able to attend. I hope you all have a wonderful night, keep safe, and I can't wait to see you all again soon because I adore you."

Meanwhile, according to Just Jared, the event would have been Nelson's first solo appearance since the release of her debut solo single, Boyz, apart of Little Mix. She'll also be performing with Justin Bieber and Coldplay at Capital's Jingle Bell Ball in December.

Nelson was a member of Little Mix for nine years, with Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall, and Perrie Edwards, until she left in December 2020, claiming that the group had a negative impact on her mental health. The surviving three members of the band released a new album, Between Us, earlier this month to honour the band's 10-year anniversary.
