Tragic Accident: Bus falls into river, 32 DEAD! Several injured

Kathmandu: A passenger bus on its way to Gamgadhi in the Mugu district of Nepal went out of control on Tuesday and plunged 300 metres down the road into the river. At least 32 people have lost their lives and several others are said to be injured in the accident. Mugu is famous for the beautiful Rara Lake, which is located 650 km northwest of Kathmandu. Many passengers on the bus were returning home from different parts of the country to celebrate the Dussehra celebrations. A Nepal Army helicopter has been sent from Surkhet for rescue operations at the accident site.

According to media reports, the bus coming from Nepalganj towards Gamgadhi fell into the Pina Jhayari river. The incident took place in the Chhayanath Rara Municipal Corporation area. In this unfortunate incident, a passenger bus going to Gamgarhi in Mugu district slipped off the road and fell into a river 300 metres below. More than 32 people died and several others were injured. According to the report, 'According to the latest information, 32 people have died in the accident. The number of injured is also increasing.' Most of the passengers on the bus were returning home from different places on the occasion of Durga Puja.

Santosh Shah, in charge of the Nepalganj airport security guard, said 10 people suffered severe head injuries, who were taken to Kohlpur Medical College and five others were sent to a nursing home in Nepalganj for treatment.
