Kathmandu: The meeting of the much-awaited Standing Committee of the ruling party Communist Party in Nepal has been postponed again for a week. After the postponement for the fifth time, this meeting was scheduled to be held from 11 am on Friday. But once again it has been carried forward. Nepal Communist Party spokesperson Narayan Kazi Shrestha has given information about postponing the meeting on Tweeter.
Late Thursday, as soon as the leaders of the Pushp Kamal Dahal Prachanda camp informed the media about the proposal for the resignation of PM KP Sharma Oli in today's meeting, there was speculation about the postponement of the meeting. It is being told that to celebrate Prachanda, about half a dozen leaders of the Oli camp reached his residence on Thursday night and requested him to postpone the meeting. The Oli camp argued that if the two leaders meet without consent, the party's division is certain. Therefore, it was said to be necessary to postpone the meeting to prevent party division.
Let us tell you that the meeting of the 45-member Standing Committee of the Communist Party in Nepal has already been canceled many times. Nepal's Prime Minister KP Sharma was accusing Oli of hijacking the party and running the government arbitrarily. Earlier in a meeting, Oli had said, "Party leaders are not appreciating my good work, efforts to establish socialism in the country and my commitment to nationalism."
