Let me tell all of you that the Government of Bengal is celebrating the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji as Desh Nayak Diwas under protocol across the State. Mamata Banerjee said, "A National University with international cooperation and Jai Hind University with 100% funding from the state are being formed in tribute to Netaji. This year's Republic Day parade will showcase a tableau on Netaji and include other freedom fighters from Bengal on the occasion of the 75th year of our country's independence. I once again appeal to the Central Government to declare Netaji's birth anniversary as a National Holiday so that the entire country can pay homage to the national leader and celebrate Desh Nayak Diwas in a good way.''
