Netflix Games has expanded its gaming library by incorporating the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. This addition allows Netflix subscribers to enjoy three iconic games from Rockstar Games—GTA III, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas—on their Android phones, tablets, iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches at no extra cost.

However, these games come with substantial file sizes. Upon download, the app installs initially, followed by the assets downloading when you launch the games for the first time. Netflix Games recommends having a minimum of 10 GB of available space on your device. Here's how you can access the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition on compatible devices.

Downloading the GTA Trilogy can be done in two ways for Android and iOS/iPadOS devices:

Through the Netflix app: Open the Netflix app, navigate to the Games tab, select one of the newly added GTA titles, and click on 'Get Game.' On Android devices, this action will redirect you to the game’s page on the Google Play Store, where you can click 'Install' and proceed. On iOS/iPadOS devices, tapping 'Get Game' will lead you to the title’s page on the Apple App Store, allowing you to download the game.

Via app stores: Skip the Netflix app and directly access the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Search for the GTA titles by name and install them as usual.

Once you've downloaded the first game, repeat the process for the remaining two titles. If you’re not logged into your Netflix account or haven’t installed the Netflix app, you’ll be prompted to sign in when opening any of the installed GTA games.

To access Netflix Games, an active Netflix plan is necessary. In India, Netflix offers four plans with varying features and costs. The Mobile plan is priced at Rs 149 per month, the Basic plan at Rs 199 per month, the Standard plan at Rs 499 a month, and the Premium plan at Rs 649 per month.

For compatibility, Android devices need to run Android 11.0 or later with a "high performance" CPU and GPU, such as Snapdragon 855 and Adreno 640 or higher. Similarly, iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches should run iOS 16/iPadOS 16 or later, equipped with an A13 or newer CPU. Devices like the iPhone 11, 9th-gen iPad, and 2nd-gen iPhone SE meet these requirements to play the GTA titles smoothly.
