Lucknow: Samajwadi Party President and former CM Akhilesh Yadav has said that it has never happened in the past as the BJP government has played with the faith of people. On Janmashtami, the BJP government darkened the homes of millions of people.

Akhilesh Yadav said that the BJP, which has given the slogan of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, has made it meaningless. With its actions and intentions, they never bother about public problems. He further said "On August 12, Lucknow, PM's parliamentary constituency Varanasi, CM's home district Gorakhpur, Meerut, Prayagraj, Mathura Saharanpur, Firozabad, Aligarh and Bareilly, people remained troubled without electricity.

In the cities, there was a power cut at around 3 pm on Wednesday afternoon, and the situation could not be normal even till night. Even the Energy Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, the areas were immersed in darkness. Akhilesh Yadav said "There was no electricity at MLA's residence. The BJP government did not take any interest in improving the power situation. Electricity is being supplied from the houses built in the Samajwadi Party government. The work of underground cabling is also blocked in the BJP tenure. While stating further, Akhilesh Yadav said that the quality of the smart meters installed is not up to the mark. Complaints reached CM in this regard, but no action has been taken so far. And thus Akhilesh has raised questions on the Yogi government.
