This is one easy peasy way to get your plate of food or a certain dish nice and hot. research shows that reheating some of your favorite foods can be dangerous to your health, especially if they were stored incorrectly beforehand.
Eggs
Reheating this protein powerhouse when it's boiled or scrambled can be toxic, and can wreak havoc in your digestive system.
Chicken
Reheating chicken second time in the microwave causes the meat's protein composition to change; and that can lead to digestive problems.
Mushrooms
Mushrooms should be eaten and finished right after preparation. Proteins can deteriorate as soon as you cut them up, and that is bad news for your stomach.
Rice
Reheating rice in the microwave can lead to food poisoning. Some highly resistant bacteria called Bacillus cereus is present in rice. Heat kills these bacteria, but it can have produced spores that are toxic.
Spinach and other greens
If you want to save your celery, kale, or spinach to eat later as leftovers, plan to reheat them in a conventional oven rather than a microwave.
Potatoes
Potatoes are nutritious, but they lose their nutritional value if you let them stand at room temperature for long. They can become toxic and cause illnesses, such as food poisoning.
Breast Milk
New mothers freeze and store their breast milk for later use. This should not be reheated in a microwave. In the same way that microwaves heat plates of food unevenly, they can also warm a bottle of breast milk unevenly, creating “hot spots” that can severely burn a baby’s mouth and throat.
