Basavaraj Bommai sworn as Karnataka's new CM with 3 Deputy CMs

Basavaraj Bommai was sworn in as CM of Karnataka at 11 am on Wednesday. As a result, Bommai was sworn in along with three Deputy Chief Ministers. These included the names of R Ashoka, Govind Karjol, and Sriramulu. Karnataka Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai was elected as chief minister after BS Yeddyurappa resigned as CM. Bommai, a two-time MLC and three-time MLA, was elected to the Karnataka Assembly from the Shiggaon constituency in Haveri district in the 2008 Karnataka state elections. Bommai is a graduate of mechanical engineering.
