New Delhi: More than 80 planned major surgeries were cancelled at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Friday following an uproar by some nursing staff. In such a situation, the situation worsened to such an extent that the patients who were given anaesthesia (injection of unconsciousness) to perform the surgery could not even have surgery. Yes, and they were unconscious for hours. Along with this, some patients got the date of the surgery after a year-long wait. However, the AIIMS administration has complained to four nursing staff at Hauz Khas police station.
The complaint has been accused of obstructing the work, stopping the surgery of patients and indecency of the doctor who came for work. At the same time, according to information received from AIIMS, the Duty Officer of the Chief Operation Theatre, Dr Srivastava was told by the doctor at the main operation theatre that the nursing staff was refusing to work. The duty officer then went to the nursing deputy superintendent's room to convince them. Along with this, many office bearers of the nursing union were present who were adamant about not working due to the non-fulfilment of many of their old demands from the AIIMS administration.
After this, some office-bearers of the nursing union started misbehaving with the duty officer. In a viral video in several WhatsApp groups of AIIMS, an office-bearer of a nursing union is seen speaking directly to the duty officer. According to the information received from a senior official of AIIMS, after the incident, some nursing staff again stopped the work of all the main operation theatres. More than 80 surgeries could not be performed. On the other hand, the hospital administration has also given a complaint to the police against four nursing staff.
These places are the most beautiful in the world, will be fun to roam around in the summer.
