New Delhi: A case has come to fore. A man after seeing his wife with a neighbor he beat up her wife to death with a stick. The accused escaped after the murder of her wife on the night of 2 February. When Rita's 27-year-old son Krishna Thapa reached home on the morning of 3 February, he reported the matter to the police. Moti Nagar police station has sent the body for postmortem. Police arrested accused Sumit Lamba from Tagore Garden in an hour. The accused was trying to escape to his home in Nepal.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Deepak Purohit has told that on February 3, at 11:30 am, a woman was lying in her house in an unconscious condition. The woman's son called the police. When high officials arrived at the scene and started the investigation, it was found that the woman had died. The police started the investigation by registering a case in the murder sections on the son's statement. Preliminary investigation revealed that Rita Thapa's first husband had already died due to illness. Since the death of the first husband, Rita was living in Basai Darapur village with son Krishna. He married Sumit Lamba here in 2014.

When Krishna reached home on the morning of 3 February, he found his mother dead and reported the matter to the police. After information, Moti Nagar police station SHO Sandeep Kumar arrived with his team and started the investigation. During the investigation, the police team arrested Sumit. After raiding several places, it was found that the accused was at his friend's house. Police arrested him from Tagore Garden. Police is currently interrogating the accused.
