New Delhi: A case of rape of a 17-year-old teenager has been reported in the railway quarters at Paharganj in the national capital. On the complaint, the police arrested Vikas, a 23-year-old accused. The incident came to light on Saturday. Police say the victim is a teenager from Sangam Vihar area. Two years ago on Facebook, she befriended Vikas, a resident of Paharganj Railway Quarter.

Pregnant wife lodges case against in-laws for dowry

The victim said that a year ago, she came walking in Paharganj where Vikas took her to his house. The young man made a physical relationship with the teenager by asking her to get married. According to the police, this process went on many times. Meanwhile, the victim became pregnant, but she did not know. After being pregnant for about seven months, her health deteriorated, so the family took her to the local hospital, where everything was known. On the complaint of the family, an FIR was lodged at Paharganj police station.

After this, the police started searching for the accused and within a few days, the accused was arrested. Police are currently interrogating the accused, while the girl has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Police is preparing to send the accused to jail with further action.
