Patna: Farmers in Bihar will now be seen cultivating potatoes with new technology. The name of this technique is aeroponic technology, through which potato will now be cultivated in the air instead of the ground and this is also going to increase the yield by 10 times. This is what Pankaj Kumar Rai, a scientist at The Agwanpur Agricultural Research Centre in Saharsa, who returned from the Potato Technology Centre in Karnal, Haryana, who returned from the new technique of potato cultivation, has to say.

You will need to wonder how it is possible to cultivate potatoes in the air, but it has become possible. In fact, aroponic potato is a technique of cultivation by which one can also cultivate potatoes without soil and land. With this technique, the deficiency of both soil and ground can also be met.

Aeroponic Potato Farming has been invented by the Potato Technology Centre located in Karnal district of Haryana. The special thing about this technique is that with this technique in farming, the deficiency of both soil and land can be met and then the yield of potato is going to increase by 10 times if cultivated with this technique. Potato cultivation has also been allowed by the government with this technology.
According to reports, potato technology centre Karnal has got a MoU with international potato centre. After the MoU, the Government of India has given permission to cultivate potatoes with aeroponic potato farming.

This technology will increase the income of farmers: Aeroponic potato farming will also give a lot of benefits to the farmers, as it can make it easier for the farmers to produce more and more potatoes  at a lower cost, and their income will also increase due to higher yields. Those who are experts in this technique say that they are given nutrients by the hanging roots in this technique. After which there is no need for soil and land.

According to reports, dr Pankaj Kumar Rai, scientist at Agwanpur, agriculturist of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Agawanpur, Saharsa district, who returned from potato technology centre at Karnal in Haryana after studying the new technique of potato cultivation, says that a lot of farmers who used to do traditional farming till now, Compared to that, this technique can be much more beneficial for them. With this technique, the production capacity of potato seeds can be increased by 3 to 4 times. This technology will benefit not only Haryana, but also the farmers of other states. In this way, with the advent of new technologies, the farmers are getting information as well as increasing their income. Which is better for both them and our state.
