Juhi Chawla is currently beaming with joy and on cloud nine because her daughter Jahnavi Mehta graduated from Columbia University, marking a significant life milestone. There is unquestionably no greater joy than witnessing someone you care about succeed, especially when it is. The same is true for Juhi, Jahnavi's proud mother. The seasoned actress recently posted a number of pictures from Jahnavi's graduation ceremony on her social media accounts.
In one of the images posted by the actor, Juhi and her businessman-husband Jay Mehta were seen posing beside their son Arjun Mehta and daughter Jahnavi Mehta. In the photos, Jahnavi was wearing her blue graduation gown. In a handful of the photos, she was also seen holding a bunch of flowers. Jahnavi also stood alone for a portrait wearing her cap and gown for graduation. In another image, Arjun, her brother, stood alone and wore his sister's graduation cap.
Juhi Chawla uploaded a number of photos from Jahnavi's graduation ceremony to her Instagram account. The first image shows the entire family posing for the camera while standing next to one another. Juhi and her husband Jay Mehta can be seen standing elegantly next to their son and daughter in the first picture. Their charming smiles convey how pleased and proud they are of their daughter.
Juhi Chawla recently shared in an interview regarding Jahnavi, “One shouldn’t be praising one’s own kid, but she is a brilliant kid and boasts of a praiseworthy academic record. She did great in her International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) exams, too, and topped History in India. In IB, she topped her school. At Columbia University, she is on the Dean’s List.”
The actor further said about her daughter as she compared her to other star kids, “Sometimes I wonder all this knowledge comes from! I find it very surprising. This is what she has chosen for herself, so I can’t really take the credit for it. It all comes rather organically to her. I see many star kids trying to make it big in Bollywood. They are trying to be on the screen as actors and I feel it’s a lot of pressure on them. You don’t know if your next assignment, should you get it, will be successful. And then there is the scrutiny on social media. It’s all a lot to deal with."
