The government is now going to make retro-reflective (shiny) tape mandatory in all vehicles. It will be necessary to have a special shape and type of tape installed on the front and back of the vehicles. Vehicle owners will be fined for not taping. The Government wishes that this is very good in terms of security, in fact, vehicles do not appear on the road at night time, due to which the chances of getting accident increases. If a flashing tape is placed on the front and back of the vehicle with its number plate, the tape will glow when the headlights light up at night and the impression that a vehicle is parked in front and the driver will also be alerted. So the government is now going to make retro reflective (shiny) tape mandatory in all vehicles including auto-rickshaws, e-rickshaws, e-carts, tricycles and tractor trolleys.

It is to be noted that according to the rule, it will be mandatory to put retro color reflective tape in front of white color and red color in e-rickshaws, e-cart and three-wheeler vehicles. Talking about the size, the tape width should not be less than 20 millimeters. Keep in mind that the color and size of tape will vary in different types of vehicles. If a vehicle does not have bright tape, then the challan of the owner of the vehicle will be cut off and at the same time it can be decided not to issue fitness certificate for such vehicles. According to the media report, the notification of retro-reflective tape in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways vehicles can be issued this week. And it will also prove to be a reasonable step in terms of security. After the notification is issued, it will take the form of a law, which will lead to heavy fines if the tape is not installed.
