Bhubaneswar: The new cabinet is being sworn in today in Odisha. 13 cabinet ministers and 8 ministers of state (independent charge) are expected to be included in the new council of ministers headed by CM Naveen Patnaik. On Saturday, all the cabinet ministers of the Odisha government submitted their resignations.

Jagannath Sarka, Niranjan Pujari, Ranendra Pratap Swain, Pramila Malik, Usha Devi, Prafulla Kumar Malik, Pratap Keshari Deb, Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Pradeep Kumar Amat, Naba Kishore Das, Ashok Chandra Panda, Tukuni Sahu and Rajendra Dholakia as cabinet ministers. But has been asked to be present in the convention hall of Lok Seva Bhavan to take the oath of office.

Sameer Ranjan Das, Ashwini Kumar Patra, Pritiranjan Ghadei, Shrikant Sahu, Tusharkanti Behera, Rohit Pujari, Rita Sahu and Basanti Hembram may get an opportunity to take oath as ministers of state as independent charge. Everyone has received calls from the CMO to be present in the convention hall. The ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) completed 3 years of its tenure on May 29 last month. Meanwhile, questions were also being raised on the prestige of the government due to the leaders coming into the controversies. In view of this, all the ministers of the cabinet submitted their resignations to the deputy speaker on Saturday. According to sources, Industries and Energy Minister Capt Dibya Shankar Mishra may be dropped from the cabinet.
