The Madhya Pradesh government plans to come out with a new industrial policy next month to provide relief to coronavirus-hit micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME), minister Omprakash Saklecha has said. The has stated that the new policy will also have an exit policy for the units. Sacklecha disclosed this while interacting with a delegation of the Association of Industries of MP, led by its president Pramod Dafaria, here at Residency on Saturday.
Saklecha said that the new policy has included several new points for the industries to strengthen the economy which has been ravaged by Covid-19 pandemic. For the first time, an exit policy is also being incorporated to strengthen the industrial sector of the State.
Pramod Dafaria, president of AIMP pointed out to the Minister about the inconsistencies in the infrastructure development and infra facilities of the industrial areas. While discussing the issue of double taxation on behalf of the association, it was urged that the urban body should fix some percentage of the amount being taken from the industries to spend on the development of industrial areas. On this, the Minister said that the responsibility of maintenance of industrial areas is being given by the state government to the industrial organizations of the state.
