New Delhi: The Monsoon Session of Parliament fast approaching, the new Parliament building in Delhi is currently undergoing a comprehensive system check to ensure a smooth and efficient session.
The system check encompasses rigorous testing of the audio-visual equipment and other crucial systems within the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha chambers. Additionally, the automation of various systems, including bollards, is being examined for optimal functionality.
Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on May 28, 2022, the new Parliament building, situated adjacent to the old Parliament House, has been designed to accommodate a larger number of Members of Parliament (MPs).

Scheduled to commence on July 18, 2023, the Monsoon Session holds significance as it will mark the inaugural use of the new Parliament building.
According to a Lok Sabha source, the system check is being conducted to ensure the seamless operation of all components before the start of the Monsoon Session.
The new Parliament building stands as a state-of-the-art facility equipped with cutting-edge technology. It incorporates several features intended to enhance the efficiency of parliamentary proceedings, including a spacious Lok Sabha Hall and an expanded Rajya Sabha hall.
