Shimla: People waiting to go Himachal Pradesh will be able to register under the new rules from Thursday. The IT department has made changes in the e-pass software as per the guidelines of Jairam Cabinet. This software will start working on Thursday. Tourists will have register in the tourist category to visit the state. If the concerned District Deputy Commissioner does not agree to the application within 24 hours, the software will issue the approval itself.

Tourists will be able to roam in different areas of the state for at least two nights. Children up to ten years old are exempted from getting COVID-19 examination. In addition to the RT-PCR of 96 hours ago, the tourists will be able to bring a negative test report of TruNot and CB NOT test. On Wednesday, the Tourism Department has issued SOP adding new rules. Now even the drivers of a taxi or private car will not be quarantined.

In the SOP issued by Tourism Director Devesh Kumar, it has been clear that the tourists who are booking hotels for at least five days will be given entry into the state. Now the government has reduced the period of five days to two nights. Now the tourists will be able to reach the state border by taking a negative report of the COVID-19 investigation done 96 hours ago. Earlier, it was allowed to enter the state only after showing the negative report of 72 hours. With this, all necessary things will be taken care of.
