Soon after getting the new state BJP president, now the Jairam government can fill the vacant two posts in the cabinet with the Speaker. The claims of Sirmaur, Kangra and Mandi districts on the same assembly speaker and two ministerial posts are considered strong. According to sources, BJP can decide the minimum three times winning formula to fill all the three posts. Meaning, only the candidate who has won three or more times can be given the responsibility of cabinet rank and the post of assembly speaker. If the minimum three-time win formula is set, then the lottery of Sukhram Chaudhary from Sirmaur, Rakesh Pathania from Kangra and Colonel Indra Singh from Mandi could be done. At the moment, apart from these, Ramesh Dhawala from Kangra, who has won four times, also fits into the winning formula three times. But he already holds the cabinet rank as the Deputy Chairman of the Planning Board.

The line of leaders who have won twice is long, the party is avoiding giving them cabinet rank so that contradiction does not happen. In the Vis Election 2017, the BJP achieved regional and ethnic balance by giving 3-3 cabinet rank to the four parliamentary constituencies. After this, one cabinet post each from Kangra and Mandi constituencies was vacated. In such a situation, the claims of both Colonel Indra Singh from Mandi district and Rakesh Pathania from Kangra, having won three times or more times, are being considered stronger. Apart from this, the party can give the cabinet rank to Sukhram Choudhary, who has won three times from Sirmaur, because the Sirmaur district which won the party three seats is currently denied cabinet rank. For the post of the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, any one of the three leaders can be given responsibility in terms of seniority. At present, if any other political formula is adopted, then some other leaders including Narendra Thakur from Hamirpur district can also be given a cabinet gift.

Which district gave what to BJP
3 out of 4 in Bilaspur, 4 out of 5 from Chamba, 11 out of 15 in Kangra, 2 out of 5 in Solan, 3 out of 5 in Sirmour, 4 out of 5 in Kullu, 4 out of 8 in Shimla, Mandi. BJP won 9 out of 10 seats, 1 out of 1 in Lahaul, zero out of 1 in Kinnaur, 2 out of 5 in Hamirpur, 3 out of 5 seats in Una. Of these, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Sirmaur have not received cabinet rank. At the moment, Hamirpur has got cabinet rank in the center as Anurag Thakur.
