New train between India and Bangladesh, railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw flags off

New Delhi: The much-overdue International Rail Mitali Express, which will leave for Bangladesh from New Jalpaiguri Junction (NJP), has already started today i.e. June 01. The smoothness of the train has brought a lot of curiosity and happiness among the passengers. Let us know that this train from NJP will run every week on Sunday and Wednesday and from Dhaka on Monday and Thursday.

Union Minister of Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw and Railway Minister in the Government of Bangladesh Noorul Islam Sujan flagged off train number 13132 Mitali Express from New Jalpaiguri to Dhaka Cantonment.   Ashwini Vaishnaw and Noorul Islam were present in Delhi during the event. Mitali Express was flagged off via video conferencing. Anshul Gupta, General Manager, North East Frontier Railway, who was also present at the function, said that the introduction of this train will greatly benefit the passengers.  

He said that everyone believes that this transport facility  will also improve the relationship between North Bengal and Bangladesh. Tourism will also improve and at the same time, as compared to earlier, a large number of people will now be seen travelling in these two places or trafficing for other subjects as well. The passengers will now be provided with even more security arrangements as compared to the previous modes of transport, making the journey of passengers even more memorable and enjoyable.
